Starting at the back of the Sonic 45, huge pre-expansion chamber telescopes over the muzzle, shortening the overall length. The specifically designed flame damper, with its self-tightening spiral flutes and gas deflection ring, is first installed in this chamber and begins operating on the superheated, supersonic gases.
