The Ruger Precision Rifle is a bolt-action rifle with a highly adjustable in-line recoil path. The barrel has a medium contour (.75" at the muzzle) with 5/8"-24 threads with a thread guard attached. The minimal bore and groove dimensions, minimum headspace, and center chamber are all set on a Ruger cold hammer-forged 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel with 5R Rifling. It comes with a Samson Evolution Keymod Handguard, although it can be swapped out for any AR-style handguard. The front of the magazine well is curved for a secure grip while bracing against shooting supports. For greater long-range elevation capabilities, the 20 MOA Picatinny rail is attached with four #8-40 screws. Lower magazine well halves are made of aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum forging and hard-coat anodized in Type III for optimal durability. To reduce distortion, the upper receiver and one-piece bolt are precisely CNC-machined from prehardened 4140 chrome-moly steel.
