Recoil energy is absorbed by a soft synthetic elastomer with excellent energy absorption, which helps to eliminate felt recoil and pain. Unique Synthetic "rubber" has an ultrasoft Shore A Scale rating of 18, but it will not crack, tear, or split and is unaffected by temperature changes. The base and pad are made of a hard, flat black polymer that is easy to grind and finish. Internal Steel Washers Enable Grinding To Fit Various Stock Sizes.
